FY 2023-2024 Plan
The core strategy outlined in the plan involves prevention services, specifically through an extensive media campaign led by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office. The campaign aims to increase community awareness about the dangers of opioid abuse through various channels such as variable message boards, billboards, and social media. The goal is to inform the public about available resources, community resource fairs, and rehabilitative programs, ultimately encouraging individuals with addiction problems to seek help and deterring potential victims of the opioid crisis. The Implementation Plan emphasizes the importance of raising awareness about the risks associated with opioid misuse and addiction. By leveraging the Opioid Settlement funding, Liberty County aims to have a positive impact on the community’s response to the opioid crisis.
FY 2025-2026 Plan
A FY 2025-2026 implementation plan is not currently on file. However, this does not indicate a lack of participation in the opioid settlement process, as counties may be engaged in planning or implementation activities not yet formally documented. Additionally, cities, towns and/or municipalities within the county may have active plans on file.
