Todd Michael Shear

Major Todd Shear has been with the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office for over 27 years. Prior to becoming Major, he was the Commander of the Special Investigations Division overseeing all operations that include the enforcement of laws pertaining to the unlawful sale, possession, and trafficking of controlled and illegal substances.

In 1994, Captain Shear received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from the University of South Florida and in 2011, received a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. Major Shear also graduated from the FBI National Academy class of 274 in 2018.
